Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Ubisoft Apologies For The Forced Choices

Ubisoft released the ‘Shadow Heritage’ DLC for Assassin's Creed Odyssey Uplay CD Key, which required your character to have a child. The game ignored these decisions and your character was forced into a heterosexual relationship. There was also a trophy that gave the impression of having a child was how you become a "real" adult.

After a furious counterattack by the fans, Ubisoft has now apologized for the new downloadable content missed the mark and the decision was wrong. Dumont said in a post on the game's forums that the purpose of this story is to explain how your character's lineage has a lasting influence on the Assassins, but by observing the players' responses, it is obvious that they have missed the mark.

As for some fans say that the title of the trophy suggests that deciding not to have children was immature or just a passing phase. Dumont added that it was an oversight in the review process and, unfortunately, he missed it a lot. They share the frustration of the players who find this offensive and the name of the trophy will be changed when there is a DLC 1.3 patch available.
